FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT AND ABILITY

In the Pentecostal church, we are all about the filling of the Holy Spirit. There are initial physical evidences. Outward workings of physical fruits. Manifestations of gifts. One of the few places I have seen someone gift filled with the Spirit in is in the following:

Exodus 35:30–35 (NIV)
30 Then Moses said to the Israelites, “See, the LORD has chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, 31 and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts— 32 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, 33 to cut and set stones, to work in wood and to engage in all kinds of artistic craftsmanship. 34 And he has given both him and Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, the ability to teach others. 35 He has filled them with skill to do all kinds of work as craftsmen, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers—all of them master craftsmen and designers.

In the denomination I accepted Christ in, we were all about the call to "the ministry." This was a descriptive term for working in a church. There would be services in which people would be prayed for and "if anyone feels the call to ministry or missions, would you come forward and we'll pray for you." I don't know if I was ever apart of a service where it was asked "and if you feel called with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts: artists, designers, filmmakers, carpenters, mechanics, why don't you come forward to be prayed for." Following these times of prayer, someone would say "what these people have committed to is something very special. Let's give them all and God a big clap of praise (round of applause)."

My question is, what if Bezalel and Oholiab were vital to what God was accomplishing through Israel. Without these two, the Tabernacle would not have been constructed. This being the key location beginning in Leviticus and continuing until the construction of the Temple by Solomon. Hundreds of years of importance. Completed not by a pastor. Completed not by the priests. Completed by those "31 filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts— 32 to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, 33 to cut and set stones, to work in wood and to engage in all kinds of artistic craftsmanship."

The Church needs more people to filled with the Spirit of God with skill, ability and knowledge.

We also need some Oholiab(s) with the ability to teach.

We need to pray for and consecrate them too.
