ALL IN ONE PIECE

This is the first year in the Colorado experience that I have been a part of that we didn't have an accident of some kind. Two years ago it was a van taking a tumble on I-70 in the middle of Kansas after being clipped by a semi and a subsequent van being struck by another semi. Two vans down. No people injured. Mass hysteria and students running across the road.

Last year it was a van getting a flat tire (at the SAME EXACT MILE MARKER and at the same time of day) and while the tire was being replaced, vans backing into each other. Budget can hear the cash register all the way from Kansas.

To finally make it there without an accident brings great relieve to my soul. It is one thing to plan and plan and plan and make it so that the plan is "flawless." It is quite another thing when unforeseen variables come in and mess up that plan. The great thing is that there has never been an injury no matter what has happened. That will bring some relieve to this young soul of mine. None of it would be possible without the great drivers that came along. Without the help of Pastor Bill, Erik, Evan, Buz, Shawn, Jeff, Karla, Jodie, Chris, Laurel, Morgan and Jaime, this would have all gone to the crapper. They helped to make for one great ride and the best trip yet. Well done drivers.
