There are few villains that get to you. Most have actions you can anticipate, monologues you can predict, moves you can see coming. The Joker is not one of those villains. Especially not Heath Ledger's Joker. He is quoted as saying he is playing a mass-murdering clown with no conscience. He played it to a t. It was intense. I almost left wondering what all the hype was about. Then I found that the character of the Joker almost makes you dislike the movie he's so good. Great movie. One of the best villains of all time. Worth the money I would say.
