Tonight, I spent an hour with Rox in one of the many parks of Springfield. I try to go to the parks that have less traffic so I can let Rox off the leash and have her do some retrieving. What was great about today was the grass she was retrieving in was about a foot tall. It was great to see her hunt down her ball based on the scent alone. There are times where I wish I was a hunter because she would own at it. Instead, I'll let the birds live and stick to the plastic toys that are indestructible. She was so happy hunting the ball, bringing it back and having another run. Plus, it was great exercise for yours truly. From what I hear of marriage, any head start will be good for me.
