ABOUT OUR INTERNSHIP pt 5

Little did I know when we started this internship that it would be as successful as it is. In the Summer, we had nearly 20 students attend (which if you look at our 40-80 spread, that's pretty darn good) and that in the Spring (after school mind you), we would have 12 attend. In fact, we have students who have up to a 30-minute drive one way just to be apart of it.

As we've looked to the future, we can clearly see this is one of the key areas where God has called us to lead with our students. Not only do we have a viable way for them to continually serve, but implement students into leadership, we know what we're getting. And due to the level of work required, we know they are going to actually lead, speak definitely of matters in the youth ministry and lead a generation. The Spring / Fall schedule will look the same and the Summer schedule will repeat each year (though we'll probably move the days to Tuesday-Thursday, not MWF). Each semester will have a different emphasis. Here is what they are:

Spring (Feb - Jun) Leadership
Summer (Jun - Aug) Doctrine
Fall (Sep - Dec) Community

For those of you who were asking, and for those of you who have stumbled upon it, I tried to be as in-depth as possible, without going overboard. If you still have questions, feel free to leave a comment or shoot me an email and I'd be glad to help. We're still a work in progress, but at least we know where we're working to.
