I witnessed the unspeakable today. It made me hug a tree. There I was in the line at McDonald's. Fully prepared for McChicken, small fries and extra large Dr. Pepper. I was on the precipice of greatness. Then, I was met with irreconcilable cruelty. The older woman who was in front of me grabbed her drink and her food. She took the wrapper from her drink and threw it out the window. At first I thought it was the wind blowing by loose scraps. Instead, I was met with the reality of it when she took her entire bag and threw it out of the window. The entire bag. Not a scrap or wrapper, the entire bag! I've seen things like this, BUT SHE WAS RIGHT NEXT TO A TRASH CAN. Right next to it. Her car drove by the trash can and she pitched her trash out of the window over her car. And we wonder why the world thinks we suck when we deal with the planet. I'm not about to become Green Peace or anything like that, but we wonder why some of our cities and streets look like crap. Blame old lady bag tosser and those like her.
