I have to say that before I ever watch a movie featuring Mark Whalberg, I have to ask myself the question, "Do I really want to do this?" First of all, I think he is really a poor actor when it has to be anything of substance besides being a punk. When you roots are this though, what choice do you have :



However, there was part of me that was genuinely interested in seeing Invincible. Maybe it's something about the never ending series of inspirational football movies (apparently we can't be inspired by other sports). You wonder how many times the same premise can be done over and over and over again. However, we try again! Invincible has it's roots in Philadelphia (it must be a sign!) and is the story of the otherwise horrible Philadelphia Eagles. After another horrible season, new coach Dick Vermeil comes in does something otherwise unheard of. He has open tryouts for anyone in Philadelphia to become an Eagle. Everyone fails except for the anonymous bartender from the wrong side of town who plays back lot football with his boys. There are highs and lows. Moments of success and failure and it makes you feel like anything is possible (even if it is Marky Mark). Here's the final result, begrudgingly...
