STUDENT MINISTRY MATTERS

As I was away at Catalyst this week, I had one of those thoughts that is a constant, but took on new meaning. Here it is:
Student Ministry is THE place in which we can empower to reach families and build the church.
Here's why:
- Students are at the appropriate age. Any younger and the maturity level might not be there yet. Any older and you probably aren't as connected to your family (i.e. college, single, married without kids, empty nesters, etc.)
- Students are guaranteed to be in families. They are living with a mom, dad, stepmom, stepdad, grandma, grandpa, brothers, sisters, aunt, uncle, cousins, etc.
- Reach the student. Reach their family. You reach a student who are in actively in these demographics, you automatically reach their families as well.
- Reach their family. Build the church. The numerics of it are unreal. Student reached = mom + dad + brother(s) + sister(s). Granted, some of those may not be included, but most of them are.
Student Ministry Matters. It is THE place in which we can empower to reach families and build the church.
